No distance can stop love...

This is one of my favorite photos y'all from a session I did this past week for Operation Love ReUnited. The love this couple has for one another brought not only myself to tears, but others as well. When he saw her standing there with her welcome home sign he ran as fast as he could picked her up and kissed her. Everyone at that moment in time started clapping, and all of the sudden even tho it was 30* outside you felt warmth. Its always such a beautiful moment to see a military member reunite with their loved one, whether it be a spouse, child, mother, its very moving.

A brand new year!

Hi everyone! I hope y'all had a blessed New Year. I am welcoming 2010 with open arms. It has been wonderful thus far. On Sunday, January 3, 2010 I was fortunate to photograph an Operation Love ReUnited session. I was moved to tears when I met Aubrey. Aubrey is 5 months pregnant and a newlywed. This was her first deployment. No one knows how hard it is to be alone, pregnant and have your husband deployed. I know because I endured that almost two years ago. That's why when I met her we just clicked. As I watched her check her I-Phone and constantly walk back and forth I wondered what crossed her mind. I know her heart was full of joy in knowing that she will see her husband once again. She lites up with excitement when they tell the wives and family to go ahead and head out to the flight line to greet your husband, son, father, etc. When her husband stepped out of the plane these were the moments I was blessed to capture.

Waiting....

When Erika emailed me asking me if I could photograph her and her husband Frank I immediately got excited. Something about Erika just stood out and made me smile. To my surprise Erika and Frank are expecting their fist child! They have been trying for years to conceive and finally God blessed them with a baby. Erika is only 9 weeks along but she is glowing and Frank couldn't be a happier man. You can really see their love, and their joy as they are waiting the arrival of their baby.

Things I am thankful for!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I sit here and think about all I have been through this year. Not only myself but my family and wow 2009 was a hard year for all of us. I know God has been guiding me through all of my hard times and I know his love is with me. This year I endured three deaths, my father suffered a heart attack but because of God's grace he made it through and he is now living his life to the fullest. Here are some of the things I am thankful for this year:

I am thankful for my children and their health.
I am thankful to have such a wonderful, caring, loving, husband.
I am thankful to be healthy and alive.
I am thankful to have love and support from my family and my wonderful friends.
I am thankful that I was able to get my business up and running this year!
I am thankful that my old boss and I have become great friends.
I am thankful to have peace in my life even tho storms have come my way.
I am thankful for life.

This thanksgiving as you are sitting down with family around you think about the things you are thankful for.

May you ALL have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Love,
Lori Lee

TGIF!!!

I love Friday's! Who doesn't tho? This weekend presents to be a busy one for me. I had a photo shoot scheduled for tomorrow but the couple canceled after they saw how much rain is gonna move into the low country. So, I am going to head down to the beach with my three gorgeous boys and just make a day of it. I will of course post photographs when I return. I sometimes dislike living in SC but right now I am lovin' it. Its late November and we are still in the 70's for a high- absolute bliss! So I hope y'all have a great Friday and a fantastic weekend!!

Adorable Couple

I had a fabulous session with Ryan & Erica. Ryan is active duty in the Air Force and Erica is a great military wife. As I was photographing them I could see the love they have for one another. They haven't been in Charleston very long, but they love it here. They wanted something different for Christmas to share with family and friends. They contacted me and asked if I'd photograph them at the beach for Christmas pictures, and well, the results were amazing! See for yourself.
